House rules

Zero tolerance

• Hotel Akersloot has a zero tolerance policy. Unfortunately, we had to set this up due to annoying events in the past. For all our guests, if our house rules are not observed, no warning will be given, but you will be requested to leave the hotel immediately. This also means that no money will be returned and if you have paid a deposit, it will unfortunately be withheld.

General Rules

• All instructions of employees of the hotel, which are related to the house rules must be followed.
• In case of fire always remain calm. Report the fire to the reception and/or break the glass in the nearest fire alarm.
• Leave the building immediately in case of a fire alarm.
• Do not use the lift in case of a fire alarm. Leave the building using the stairs. Follow the exit signs which are clearly marked.
• A valid ID must be shown at check-in. Check-in is possible from the age of 18. Minors must always be accompanied by a parent/guardian (min. 25 years old).
• If the group is younger than 25 years, we charge a deposit of € 150.00. At check-out you will receive this back (by bank) when the room has been left in the right condition.
• A CCTV system operates within this Hotel. Please note the recordings of the system may be used by third parties if requested.
• Lost property: please hand any item found to the reception.
• The hotel cannot be held responsible for any loss or theft of your belongings.
• The management, owner or employees of the hotel cannot be held responsible for any injuries, damage or losses to guests during the stay.
• The room should be cleaned every day.
• In case of violation of the rules as stated in these house rules or when other undesirable or unlawful behavior occurs, Hotel Akersloot reserves the right to place you on the Alert List and/or, if there is of a serious violation, to share your data with other Valk Exclusief hotels so that you are no longer welcome there either. In the event of a placement on the Alert List, you will receive a written notification.

It is not allowed to:

• Use the emergency exits to enter or leave the Hotel without an emergency.
• Cause any inconvenience by playing loud music or offensive or unacceptable behaviour.
• To smoke anywhere in the Hotel. In case we notice that if there has been smoked in the room, you will get a penalty of € 175,00.
• Take any Hotel property outside of the Hotel. Any damage to Hotel property will be charged for.
• Receiving guests in the room for the purpose of sexual commercial activities.
• Receiving other guests in the room.
• Stay with more than two people in the room. (except for our family rooms)
• To have, use or sell prohibited drugs or substances.

• In any case which has not been mentioned or provided for in the above rules, the hotels decision is final.

• The management and staff of the hotel would like to wish you a safe and pleasant stay at our hotel.

Suite regelement

• It is strictly forbidden to light candles/incense due to the fire alarm and fire hazard. (The security system is activated immediately).
• It is forbidden to spread rose petals and/or confetti in the room.
• A maximum of two people are allowed in the suite.
• It is not allowed to receive unregistered or other hotel guests in the room. If other guests are found in the room, an appropriate fine will be charged.
• The check-out time for the suite is no later than 12:00. After this we will check the suite.
• No pets or persons under the age of 18 are allowed in our suites
• We ask for a deposit (between €150 and €400 depending on the room type) or to leave a print of your credit card for the room key issue, as a guarantee. When the room is left in the right condition, we will return the deposit by bank within a few working days.
• Any damage will be deducted from the deposit. For larger damage we will send you an invoice for this. After the suite has been inspected, the deposit will be refunded to you if approved.
• Deposit will only be refunded to the guest who has identified themselves during check-in. Showing identification when returning the deposit is mandatory.
• The minibar in the suite is empty. You can buy a minibar box at the reception.
• Presenting a valid ID is mandatory
• If there is any nuisance from the room you have booked, the management may decide that you must leave the room without a refund.
• Smoking is not permitted in our entire hotel.
• Failure to comply with the above rules or damage, loss or destruction of Hotel Akersloot property will result in immediate removal, liability and/or reporting to the police.
