Hotel is open

We are delighted that we are allowed to welcome more and more guests. Did you know that our hotel never closed? Hotel guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner in our restaurants again. In order to do so, we have adjusted our procedures and rooms in various ways, which allows you to have a safe and relaxing stay at our hotel. You will find all details on this page.

Do you have any cold-like symptoms, including cold in the nose, runny nose, soar throat, mild cough or a temperature higher than 38 degrees Celsius/100.4 Fahrenheit? If yes, you are requested to stay home and not to come to the hotel.

It is important that you follow the instructions of the hotel staff members during your stay with us. Additionally, all guests and staff members at our hotel are requested to carefully follow the precautionary measures below:

Overnight stay

We look forward to welcome you in Hotel Akersloot, showing you around and answering all the questions you might have. On arrival you can disinfect your hands in the lobby.

We will ensure a hospitable check-in with 1,5 metres distance for you. All our staff members have been instructed how to proceed with regard to COVID-19.

Every day professional cleaners clean our rooms and the door handles, besides (stair) handrails, lift buttons are cleaned several times a day. Our staff members wear gloves and wash their hands every hour.

Throughout the hotel you will find clearly visible floor stickers and directions, which route you should follow.

If you haven’t made a reservation for the restaurant while booking your stay, we recommend doing so during check-in. Reservations for our restaurant are required.

Food & drinks

All guests can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in our restaurant. We have drawn up a number of guidelines to ensure that everything runs smoothly and safely: On arrival we will ask you a number of health questions;

  • We ask you to (disinfect) your hands.
  • Please wait at the welcome desk upon arrival. We bring you to your table.
  • Keep 1.5 meters away. Both to our employees and to other guests.
  • We have created routes with arrows in our restaurants and we ask you to follow them.
  • We serve with an appropriate distance, after which you can grab your order yourself.
  • Preferably pay with pin or contactless.

We are obliged to register all our guests and will therefore ask you to leave some information for source and contact research by the GGD in the event of an infection, this is separate from your reservation.

For our hotel guests we offer our breakfast in package form which you can pick up and put together at the entrance of the restaurant. You can choose a take away breakfast for outside the door (packed for take away) or a take away breakfast on a platter for to your room. This breakfast consists of a choice of various sandwiches, sweet items, fruit, yogurt, juices and coffee & tea.

Lunch buffet
Unfortunately, due to the measures, we do not have a lunch buffet at the moment.

Dinner and lunch
we offer dinner in take away form. We offer you the option to pick up your order at our restaurant or, at an additional cost of 7.50 euros, we deliver your order to your room door, in compliance with the RIVM guidelines.
For this you can look at our menu You can order the dishes using the QR code on your hotel room.
If you have booked a package, you will be able to choose from the package menu that you will receive during check-in. From 20:00 o clock we are not longer allowed to serve alcoholic drinks. Alcoholic drinks must be picked up no later than 19:45.

Room service
Room service is unfortunately not allowed at this time.

Terrace and bar
Both our terrace and our hotel bar are closed for until the 28th of April, 2021. From 28th of April 2021 our terrace wil open again. We only make a reservation for hotelguests. The terrace will be open from 12:00H - 18:00H.

Swimming pool

Unfortunately, our swimming pool is closed.

Fitness & Wellness

Both our fitness and our Wellness are closed.

Can we eat in the restaurant again?
For hotel guests we offer lunch and dinner in take away form.

What security measures have you taken?
We have taken a large number of measures. Our areas are professionally cleaned daily. Door handles are cleaned several times a day. We wash our hands every hour. Our restaurant has been redesigned to give you more space and eat with fewer people. For this we use a reservation system. We have placed hand soap columns in various places so that you can wash your hands quickly and easily.

What is your mouth masks policy?
The masking obligation applies from 1 December. Both our staff and our guests are required to wear a mouth mask.

Can I book a room again?
Yes! Did you know that our hotel has not been closed? You can book directly and also use a number of wonderful packages.

Can I come back for lunch or brunch?
Unfortunately, we do not offer options for food and drink for guests without an overnight stay.

Is the Live Cooking open?
Unfortunately we are not organizing Brunch & Live Cooking for the time being.

Is the pool open?
Both our swimming pool and the Wellness are closed.

What facilities are open in the hotel?
All facilities are closed.

Is it possible to use facilities such as renting an (electric) bicycle at the hotel?
Yes, you can reserve these through our reception as a packed lunch. Hotel Akersloot has beautiful cycling routes (20/40 / 60km) in the area. With hospitable regards, Family van der Valk & employees.
